EEI was founded in 2006 as Japan’s first venture capital firm dedicated to the environmental and energy sector. To date, we have managed approximately JPY 69 billion in cumulative fund commitments and invested in over 180 companies.

From the start, we’ve backed entrepreneurs who tackle environmental and social challenges head-on, providing both capital and hands-on support to help them grow.

The structural shifts reshaping our world, including climate change, the energy transition, resource scarcity, and regional sustainability, are also the inflection points where new industries are born. We see these shifts as opportunities. By providing risk capital to innovation-driven startups and supporting them from launch to scale, we help create the companies that will define the industries of tomorrow.
